Luxury skiing: the best destinations and when to go

Courchevel, Aspen or Niseko: a staffed chalet, private instructor and the best snow.

Luxury skiing isn't only about the slopes: it's about a staffed chalet, a private instructor, priority lift access and a calendar of dining and après-ski to match. The resort matters, but the trip design matters more.

Where to go

Courchevel 1850 is the summit of European skiing, with the highest concentration of high-end chalets and restaurants. Aspen combines top-tier skiing with a select social scene, ideal for the U.S. client. Niseko, in Japan, offers the world's best powder and a unique cultural experience. All three book far ahead.

When

The European season runs December to April, peaking in February. In Japan, January and February concentrate the big snowfalls. For specific chalets on key dates (Christmas, New Year), book six to twelve months ahead. We secure the chalet, the instructor and the transfers —including ski-in helicopter— and coordinate it all.
